No member of staff, volunteer or person acting for BrainyBots should inflict physical or psychological harm on a child.
BrainyBots provides live online AI and coding education for students in Grades 4–8. This policy explains the safeguarding principles we expect to apply to classes, technology use, communication and concerns involving children.
No member of staff, volunteer or person acting for BrainyBots should inflict physical or psychological harm on a child.
Concerns about abuse, bullying, inappropriate behaviour, unsafe contact or a child’s welfare should be reported and handled promptly.
Parents and guardians should know how to raise a safeguarding concern and who is responsible for safeguarding within BrainyBots.
The exact response depends on the nature and urgency of the concern, but the following framework should guide BrainyBots safeguarding practice.
Listen carefully, avoid unnecessary questioning, and record the relevant facts securely.
The designated safeguarding lead should review the concern and decide what action is required.
Where a child may be at risk of harm, the safeguarding lead should contact the appropriate local safeguarding service, police or emergency service as required.
Any allegation that a staff member, tutor or volunteer may pose a risk to a child should be treated as a safeguarding matter and not handled informally.
Live classes, AI tools and coding platforms create useful learning opportunities, but students should use them with clear boundaries.
For a BrainyBots class or service concern, contact the designated safeguarding lead. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service rather than waiting for an ordinary website response.
